Tinubu’s Reforms Have Intensified Economic Challenges, APC Acknowledges

-

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has conceded that the economic reforms implemented by President Bola Tinubu have exacerbated economic difficulties in Nigeria. Felix Morka, the APC National Publicity Secretary, made this admission in a statement on Tuesday, addressing comments by former APC National Vice Chairman (North West), Salihu Moh Lukman. Lukman had urged opposition parties to unite and unseat the ruling party in the 2027 presidential election.

While criticizing Lukman, Morka defended President Tinubu’s administration, stating that the president is making courageous efforts to rejuvenate the country’s faltering economy, bolster national security, and guide Nigeria towards sustainable development. He argued that President Tinubu could have easily continued the status quo of previous administrations, but chose instead to tackle the nation’s long-standing issues head-on.

The APC urged Nigerians to remain focused, disregard the opposition’s criticism, and continue supporting President Tinubu’s vision of a prosperous and vibrant future for the country.

Morka further disparaged Lukman as a self-serving political opportunist, accusing him of seeking attention and political relevance by aligning with the opposition. He dismissed Lukman’s allegations against the APC, calling them baseless and motivated by personal gain rather than the national interest.

In conclusion, Morka reiterated the APC’s commitment to addressing Nigeria’s economic challenges and urged Nigerians to trust in the president’s long-term vision for the country.
