Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru was involved in a car crash near Bracciano, Italy, on Saturday evening.
Dele-Bashiru, who currently plays for Lazio in Serie A, was driving his Lamborghini in a high-traffic area when the incident occurred. Fortunately, he emerged unscathed, with no injuries reported. The vehicle sustained significant damage, but the player showed no signs of lasting physical issues.
The authorities responded promptly to the scene and conducted thorough investigations. Despite the frightening ordeal, Dele-Bashiru resumed training the following morning and was named on the bench for Lazio’s 6-0 loss to Inter Milan two days later. He came on in the 57th minute, replacing Spanish winger Pedro.
The news, initially kept quiet, gained traction after being reported by Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport.
