Sonia Adesuwa, the ex-wife of Nigerian footballer Jude Ighalo, has made a heartfelt plea to married couples in Lagos, asking them to consistently wear their wedding rings.
Taking to her Instagram story, Sonia emphasized the importance of wedding rings as symbols of commitment and a clear message to others about their marital status. She humorously noted the confusion this could cause singles in the dating scene.
She wrote, “Married people in Lagos, please always wear your wedding rings. They are a symbol of commitment to your significant other and a public statement to total strangers. Stop confusing singles out there. At least make e dey easy for us to know how many of us remain.”
Sonia, who was married to Jude Ighalo for over a decade before their separation in 2020, has often shared personal insights and anecdotes from her life.
