Rep donates 12 classrooms, other items to Ekiti constituents

Rep. Omowumi Ogunlola, the lawmaker representing Ekiti West/ Efon and Ijero Federal Constituency has donated two blocks of 12 class rooms and other items to her constituents.

Ogunlola said the donation was aimed at boosting education and making learning conducive for the people of the constituency..

The All Progressives Congress, (APC) lawmaker said this on Sunday, at Ijero-Ekiti, in Ijero Local Government Area of the state, while inaugurating the projects.

Ogunmola highlighted other items given to her constituents to include empowerment of 120 aged people with cash sum of N10,000 each.

Also donated was an modern multipurpose hall to Ijero-Ekiti community for the development of the town.

“My projects were conceptualised to boost education and make learning conducive for her people .

“I intend to also promote unity among members of the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), as well as non-partisan individuals.

“The old people are vulnerable and that is why, I decided to alleviate more than 120 of them with N10,000 each to meet their immediate needs.

“These aged-people are no longer active as they used to be, so we need to support them.

“I had earlier distributed WAEC materials to some selected students in my constituency to assist and better their studies.

” The classrooms I built were meant to create an environment that will be conducive for learning,” the lawmaker said.

Commenting, the Secretary to the State Government, Biodun Oyebanji, described the lawmaker as a worthy representative of the people, who has not disappointed her constituents.

Oyebanji assured that all the  projects being executed across the state by Governor Kayode Fayemi would continue..
