President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and members of the National Assembly are among the high-profile attendees expected at the upcoming 8th Energy Summit, organized by the Solewant Group. Scheduled for November 29, 2024, in Rivers State, the summit will focus on technological innovation and sustainable energy development in Africa, under the theme “Pioneering Technology and Innovation for Transition to Sustainable Energy Development in Africa.”
Solewant Group’s Group Managing Director, Solomon Ewanehi, represented by Dr. Benjamin Ubeleble, highlighted that the summit will gather 30 local and international companies, along with leaders and experts from the energy sector. Ewanehi stated that the summit aligns with President Tinubu’s call for strengthened oil production and economic growth, while providing a collaborative platform for government representatives, industry leaders, and innovators to discuss and implement advancements in Nigeria’s energy sector.
The summit’s agenda includes discussions on improving oil production efficiency, enhancing energy sustainability, and implementing emerging technologies, such as digital oilfields, artificial intelligence, and data analytics, to make oil extraction and processing more eco-friendly. Key government representatives will address investment-friendly policies and regulatory updates aimed at streamlining growth in Nigeria’s energy sector.
Ewanehi emphasized the importance of partnerships between public institutions, private enterprises, and academia to drive the industry forward.
