The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, has stated that there is evidence supporting the innocence of Naira Marley and Sam Larry in the tragic death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad.
Owohunwa made this assertion during a press briefing on Friday, revealing that both Naira Marley and Sam Larry were not in Nigeria when Mohbad passed away.
However, the CP disclosed that Sam Larry had subjected Mohbad to physical assault prior to his death.
Owohunwa said, “There is concrete evidence indicating that Naira Marley and Sam Larry had no involvement in Mohbad’s demise. Documented evidence proves that both Naira Marley and Sam Larry were out of the country when the singer passed away. Nevertheless, electronic evidence confirms that Sam Larry had mistreated the singer, which he admitted to. Sam Larry confessed to physically assaulting Mohbad due to the two million naira the singer had received for his mother’s burial but failed to deliver on his performance at the event.”
