Nigerians Craving PDP’s Return Amid Economic Struggles – Chairmanship Hopeful

-

Conrad Utaan, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship contender, expressed concerns about the current economic challenges in Nigeria, stating that citizens are eager for the opposition’s return to power. Speaking during a North Central PDP stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja, Utaan highlighted how rising costs of essentials such as food, fuel, and education have left many households struggling.

Utaan emphasized that the PDP could reclaim leadership in 2027 if internal disputes are resolved. He also commented on the recent defections in Rivers State, attributing the crisis to broader political tensions and calling for unity within the party.

Former Benue PDP Publicity Secretary, Bemgba Iortyom, echoed Utaan’s sentiments, stressing the need for reconciliation and endorsing Utaan’s candidacy as a clean, fresh leader capable of healing divisions.
