Joseph Aloba, the father of the late award-winning singer Mohbad, has shared details about the circumstances surrounding his son’s death. Appearing as a guest on the Brekete Family show, Aloba revealed that he received a call from Mohbad’s mother informing him of his son’s illness. However, upon arriving at Mohbad’s house, he discovered his lifeless body under the staircase, already embalmed in a local manner with a soaked cloth.
In the interview, Aloba recounted the moments leading up to his son’s death and the shocking discovery upon his arrival at Mohbad’s residence. He expressed his suspicions about the circumstances, questioning how his son could have been embalmed before his official notification of the death. Mohbad’s father also raised concerns about the authenticity of a purported will, emphasizing his disbelief that his well-educated son would create a thumbprinted will instead of signing it.
Two weeks earlier, Joseph Aloba had made serious allegations against his son’s wife, Wunmi, and lawyer Femi Falana, claiming that his life was being threatened. Mohbad, a former signee of Naira Marley’s record label, passed away at 27 under unclear circumstances, prompting ongoing investigations by the Nigeria Police.
