May Edochie, the former wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has shared a heartfelt message congratulating Rita Edochie on her recent appointment.
Rita Edochie has been appointed as the new Women Leader/Welfare of members at the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).
Expressing her joy on Instagram, May celebrated Rita’s achievement and prayed for more grace and elevation in her new role. She emphasized that Rita was carefully selected for the position.
“Whoever the cap fits, let him/her wear. This particular one was carefully selected. Congrats, beautiful momma @ritaedochie. More grace and elevations,” May wrote.
In response, Rita Edochie expressed gratitude to the AGN for considering her worthy of the position. She pledged to uphold the organization’s values and work diligently with the help of God.
“Here comes the AGN women leader. I thank the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) for finding me worthy of occupying this position. As the AGN women leader/welfare of members, I promise to do my best to keep the flag flying with the help of God Almighty. Together we move on,” Rita said.
Recalling previous incidents, Rita Edochie had shown support for May Edochie, especially during Yul Edochie’s marriage controversy with Judy Austin. Rita had publicly hailed May as the only legitimate wife of Yul Edochie, seemingly throwing shade at Judy Austin.
Rita also defended May against recent accusations made by Yul Edochie, stating that Judy Austin was behind the allegations to tarnish May’s reputation due to jealousy over her endorsement deals.
