Two individuals suspected of armed robbery have been apprehended by the Ikeja Division of the Lagos State Police Command during a routine stop-and-search operation in Ikeja.
The Lagos State Police Command announced the arrests in a post on X.com on Friday. The statement detailed that the suspects were detained on August 6, 2024, at approximately 1:15 AM along Allen-Opebi Road. The officers recovered a locally made pistol, a live cartridge, and various charms from the suspects.
The police indicated that an ongoing investigation is in progress.
Previously, in April, two other suspected robbers were arrested at a hotel on AIT Road in Agbado, Lagos State, following a distress call about a robbery at the location.
