The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has nominated Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro, for the 2024 Men’s World Best National Coach award. This marks Peseiro’s first nomination for the prestigious award.
Peseiro’s nomination follows his leadership of Nigeria’s Super Eagles to a runner-up finish in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire, where the team narrowly lost 2-1 to the host nation in the final.
He joins a competitive field of 20 candidates, including Spain’s Luis de la Fuente, France’s Didier Deschamps, and Argentina’s Lionel Scaloni.
