Imo Ex-Federal Lawmaker, Paschal Obi, Dumps LP and Rejoins APC

-

Paschal Obi, a former member of the House of Representatives who represented the Ideato North and South Federal Constituency, has officially left the Labour Party (LP) and rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Obi was warmly welcomed back into the APC by the state party executives, led by Macdonald Ebere, following his formal registration at the ward and local government levels. In his speech, Obi expressed that his decision to return to the APC was driven by the significant infrastructural development under Governor Hope Uzodinma, which he praised.

He also thanked the state party leadership, under Ebere, for its exemplary performance, particularly in the grassroots, as demonstrated during the recent local government elections. Obi assured the party leadership of his unwavering support and loyalty.

In his response, the State Chairman of APC, Macdonald Ebere, thanked Obi for choosing to return to the party. Many political stakeholders from Ideato South accompanied Obi to the event.

Obi’s political journey has seen him shift across various parties. He was previously a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), then joined the APC, left for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), later joined LP, and has now returned to the APC.
