The Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Chief Uche Nnaji, has reaffirmed Nigeria’s dedication to achieving “zero poverty, zero unemployment, and zero net carbon emissions.” This was disclosed at the 8th United Nations General Assembly High-Level Side Event on Social Business, Youth, and Technology in New York.
Nnaji emphasized the government’s focus on utilizing technology and youth-led innovation to meet global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He also highlighted Nigeria’s 13-year Science, Technology, and Innovation Roadmap, aimed at fostering economic growth through innovation, entrepreneurship, and a skilled workforce.
The minister called for international cooperation in supporting clean energy and climate action initiatives to promote sustainable development.
