EPL: Arteta Warns Arsenal Players – “We Cannot Continue Playing with 10 Men”

-

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has issued a stern warning to his players following a string of red cards this season. The Gunners have seen three players sent off in just eight Premier League matches, with the latest being William Saliba during their 2-0 loss to Bournemouth last Saturday. Previous red cards were issued to Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard.

“Playing with 10 men is always problematic,” Arteta said in a press conference ahead of Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League clash against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.

“When you analyze the incidents, the actions are very different, but the outcome is the same. Regardless of the reasons, we cannot keep playing at this level with a man down. It’s something we must eradicate,” he emphasized.

The Bournemouth defeat marked Arsenal’s first loss of the season. Despite previous red cards in matches against Brighton and Manchester City, the Gunners managed to secure a point in both games.
