The Chairman of Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council, HRM Igwe Samuel Asadu, has called on Muslims to use the Eid-el-Maulud celebration to pray for peace and unity in Nigeria. Speaking in Nsukka on Monday, Asadu emphasized that with peace and unity, the country could overcome its economic and security challenges.
He urged Nigerians to love, trust, and work together, regardless of language, tribe, religion, or political affiliation. Asadu praised the virtues of Prophet Mohammed, highlighting his dedication to promoting love, peace, and forgiveness.
The Enugu monarch also extended sympathies to victims of the recent Maiduguri flood disaster, offering condolences to affected families and displaced residents.
