Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface has responded following a one-match ban and a €25,000 fine imposed for unsportsmanlike behavior during the recent Super Cup clash against VfB Stuttgart. The German Football Association (DFB) announced the sanction on Wednesday.
In reaction to the penalty, Boniface has taken to social media to advise his followers against making any financial demands over the next three months. The fine, which amounts to approximately N44 million, has led him to issue a stern warning.
“If you send me any bills over the next three months, I might block you. Let’s all be cautious,” Boniface stated.
The fine stems from an incident where Boniface was accused of making an obscene gesture by raising his middle finger towards Stuttgart players during the post-match celebrations.
