Former Big Brother Naija ‘Pepper Dem’ housemate, Tacha Akide, subtly shaded her former colleague, Mercy Eke, in light of her loss at the recently concluded All Stars show. Their strained relationship originated from a heated altercation on the show, resulting in Tacha’s disqualification and Mercy’s victory for that season. Many believed that Tacha would have won if not for the altercation, and this resentment has lingered since.
Tacha took to social media to celebrate the All Stars winner, Ilebaye, while indirectly pointing out that Mercy’s win in their season was only possible due to her disqualification. She emphasized her preference for supporting winners, implying that she considered Mercy a “failure.”
In her post, Tacha exclaimed her joy for Ilebaye’s victory and humorously questioned whether her point had been made clear regarding Mercy’s win. She playfully referred to Ilebaye as “Ilebaye money” and emphasized the entertainment value of the show.
This subtle shade from Tacha might come as a surprise, considering the two had reconciled the previous year. During an interview with Toke Makinwa, they discussed their past feud, attributing it to haters who thrived on their conflicts. They highlighted that they didn’t feel obligated to meet people’s expectations and that some fans took delight in their feuds. They also showcased their mended relationship by appearing together on an Instagram Live session with Khloe Abiri.
Tacha’s support for Ilebaye stemmed from an incident in the All Stars house where fellow housemates plotted to get Ilebaye disqualified. They conspired to give her a third strike by tossing her belongings into the toilet, but the plan backfired, endearing Ilebaye to many viewers. Tacha, infuriated by their actions, prayed for Ilebaye’s victory and vowed to rub it in the faces of those who tried to sabotage her.
