UFC star Israel Adesanya has placed a $10,000 wager on Anthony Joshua to win his IBF heavyweight title fight against Daniel Dubois, set for September 21, 2024, at Wembley Stadium in England. The much-anticipated showdown will take place in front of 96,000 fans, a familiar venue for Joshua but a first-time experience for Dubois.
Adesanya revealed his bet in an Instagram post, showing he picked Joshua to win between the 10th and 12th rounds, with a potential payout of $50,000. Adesanya captioned the post with, “ÒGÚN‼ This fight got beef…grab the #stake sauce.”
Dubois, however, has expressed his confidence, aiming to knock out Joshua in what would be only the second knockout loss of Joshua’s career. Dubbed “a good destroyer,” Dubois is determined to focus all his energy on achieving a knockout win.
Joshua, 33, enters the fight with four consecutive victories, including a knockout of former UFC champion Francis Ngannou, while 26-year-old Dubois is eager to make a statement in his first fight at the iconic Wembley Stadium.
