-

Nigerian DJ and philanthropist, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, is celebrating a significant milestone as she fulfills a long-held dream. She recently launched the ‘Cuppy Fund’ at New York University (NYU), aimed at supporting African students studying abroad.

Taking to Instagram, DJ Cuppy expressed her joy at returning to NYU, the school she attended a decade ago, with the opportunity to give back. She described the experience as “a full circle,” showing how dreams do indeed come true.

She wrote:
“Launching the Cuppy Fund at NYU is a dream come true!!! Imagine returning to the same school I attended 10 years ago, now with the chance to give back to African students— what a FULL circle. God is so GOOD!”

Cuppy’s passion for education and philanthropy extends beyond NYU. Last year, she built a virtual lab for students at Jakande Estate College and also launched a scholarship fund for African students at Oxford University, where she is an alumna. Additionally, she sponsored the education of a young woman named Tobi, whose resilience deeply moved her.

Cuppy’s efforts continue to inspire many, as she remains dedicated to empowering African students through education.
