Nollywood actress and expectant mother, Uche Ogbodo, has shared her perspective on why men should consider marrying women who have a touch of spontaneity and assertiveness. In a message directed towards men, Uche advised those who are naturally quiet to seek partners who possess contrasting character traits.
According to her, men can benefit from having women with a bit of “madness” in them as it helps in defending them in public situations. She encouraged women to be both physically and spiritually protective of their partners.
“I urge quiet men, those who endure a lot, to consider marrying someone with a spark of wildness. You need a woman who will boldly say, ‘Hey, come here, don’t talk to my husband like that. Are you mad?'”
Uche expressed her own identity as such a “madwoman” and emphasized that any harm to her man would be treated as an affront to her as well. She declared a deep connection between herself and her partner, emphasizing their unity as one soul and one body.
Uche Ogbodo’s protective stance towards her husband is not surprising, as she had previously made a heartfelt promise to stand by him through thick and thin. In the past, she also addressed critics who had age-shamed her for marrying a younger man, firmly defending her relationship choices.
