Martins Otse, popularly known as Very Dark Man (VDM), made headlines again during a recent session of the House of Representatives, where he flatly refused to address allegations concerning Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky.
During the inquiry, VDM claimed that officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Services received N15 million from Bobrisky to ensure he served his prison term in a VIP section of the Kirikiri Medium Custodial Centre in Lagos.
When called to the podium, Very Dark Man stated, “I don’t know why I will be here and the person who made these allegations is not here. Bobrisky said in the voice note that there is a godfather. Maybe the godfather told him not to come. He has disrespected this committee by not coming here.”
As the committee members urged him to share his knowledge of the situation, VDM remained steadfast, saying, “You are already threatening me with arrest. If you detain me, I will stay in the cell. If Bobrisky is not here, I will not say anything. If I say anything, let me die.”
Despite pressure from committee members, VDM’s defiance highlights the tension surrounding the investigation into Bobrisky’s alleged activities, including accusations of bribery and corruption. As of the latest updates, the committee has promised that Bobrisky will also be summoned to address the allegations in person.
