Risevest Shuts Down Virtual Cards Amid Exchange Rate Challenges

-

Investing platform Risevest has announced the discontinuation of its virtual card service, effective September 30, 2024. This decision was communicated to users via email, where the company cited challenges with card providers, fluctuating exchange rates, and delays in issue resolution as the primary reasons for the shutdown.

In the notification, Risevest assured users that any funds remaining on their virtual cards after the service ceases will be automatically transferred to their Rise wallet.

This move comes amid ongoing discussions about the impact of exchange rate volatility on financial services, with experts emphasizing the need for stability to attract investment.
