Veteran Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle has voiced his criticism of singer Davido’s outfit during a recent visit to the palace of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III. This visit occurred ahead of Davido’s performance at the ‘Warri Again’ concert in Delta over the weekend.
Doyle’s comments come in the wake of a legal dispute between Davido and former Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick, who had previously filed a N2.3 billion breach of contract suit against the singer for failing to perform at the 19th edition of the concert on October 6, 2023. However, it appears that the matter has been resolved, allowing Davido to perform at the 2024 edition of the event.
In photos from the visit, which included Pinnick, singer Phyno, comedian AY Makun, and Cubana Chief Priest, Doyle expressed his disapproval, calling Davido’s attire “inappropriate” for a royal engagement.
