Mohbad’s Widow, Omawunmi, Addresses Allegations and Hints at DNA Test

Published

Omawunmi, the grieving widow of the late Nigerian singer, Ileriouluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, has finally spoken out amid a flurry of accusations directed at her following her husband’s passing.

Since the tragic news of her husband’s demise, Omawunmi has faced allegations, with some accusing her of being responsible for the singer’s death. Accusations have come from various quarters, including her late husband’s father, his aunty, and friends.

In an exclusive interview with Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, Omawunmi disclosed her decision to remain silent until the Coroner’s Inquest on November 7th. She emphasized that her primary focus is on obtaining justice for her husband, which she believes the Nigerian government is actively pursuing.

Omawunmi mentioned that she is avoiding any side distractions and intends to share her side of the story through an interview or statement after the coroner’s inquest. She also indicated that a DNA test is in the works.

Her statement reads: “I have decided not to speak on anything until November 7, which is the coroner inquest because I do not want any side distraction. All I want is justice for my husband, which I believe the Nigeria government is working on. After everything, I’ll either grant an interview or tell my own story before the whole world, and also, DNA is definitely a must!!!”

This follows recent developments, including allegations made during the coroner’s inquest. Mohbad’s father, during the inquiry, raised concerns about Omawunmi’s alleged infidelity and accused her of putting sleeping pills in his son’s food. He expressed mistrust and questioned the ownership of the singer’s properties, all registered in Omawunmi’s mother’s name.

Additionally, one of the late singer’s friends, Micee, made claims about Omawunmi’s alleged affair with the singer’s female manager, suggesting Mohbad was aware of the situation. He even alleged the existence of incriminating videos. Micee’s reluctance to name others involved added to the intrigue.

Further complicating matters, Mohbad’s maternal aunt, in a widely circulated video, reported witnessing blood-soaked clothing in the home. She invoked strong curses on Omawunmi, declaring that if she had any role in the singer’s death, she would not escape consequences.
