Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe Adeoti is basking in the success of her recent movie, “Ada Omo Daddy,” which has outpaced records set by her colleague and competitor, Funke Akindele.
Mercy Aigbe joyfully shared the news that “Ada Omo Daddy” has surpassed the 30 million naira mark within just three days of its release. Despite being her first major cinema project, Aigbe expressed gratitude to her fans for the overwhelming love and support.
Taking to Instagram, she acknowledged the doubts surrounding the film and thanked Nigeria and Ghana for the massive support. Aigbe credited God for the success and expressed pride in herself, calling it the beginning of her journey to set her own records.

Earlier, Funke Akindele had announced her cinematic triumph with her film, “A Tribe Called Judah,” grossing over one hundred and twenty-two million naira. Despite Aigbe’s celebration, Akindele’s movie holds records as the number one film in Nigeria and West Africa, making it Nollywood’s biggest opening of all time.
