Kidnapped NDLEA Officers Regain Freedom in Delta

-

The Delta State Command of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has confirmed that its kidnapped officers have been released unharmed.

The officers were abducted on Thursday night near the NDLEA’s head office, located off the Isah-Ogwashi-Uku Road in Aniocha South Local Government Area. The kidnappers ambushed the officers as they were heading home at around 8 p.m.

NDLEA spokesperson, Mr. John Kennedy, confirmed their release on Monday in Asaba, explaining that the officers were freed on Sunday night after concerted pressure from the agency and other security forces. He clarified that the senior officer was not taken with his orderly, as initially reported, but was abducted separately from another officer at a different location.

This marks a successful resolution of the kidnapping, with the officers now safely back in custody.
