JAMB Starts Accreditation of CBT Centres for 2025 UTME

-

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially begun the accreditation process for Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

In a statement issued by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the board outlined the steps for both new and existing CBT centres to participate in the upcoming examination cycle. Operators of centres accredited for the 2024 UTME are required to register their interest via the Centre Management System (CMS) Portal. Meanwhile, new centres must create accounts through their respective Zonal or State offices on the same portal to begin the accreditation process.

As part of the accreditation process, centres are required to conduct an Autobot/autotest, the results of which will determine their eligibility for a physical accreditation visit by JAMB’s team in December 2024. Centres must meet all criteria, including passing the Autobot test, to qualify for physical inspection and eventual inclusion in the 2025 UTME registration.

The accreditation exercise aims to ensure that only centres that meet JAMB’s technical and operational standards are approved for the examination.
