Iyabo Ojo mocks Lizzy Anjorin, hours after getting exposed for allegedly stealing gold in Lagos Island

Published

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo appears to be relishing the recent embarrassment surrounding her longtime rival Lizzy Anjorin, who is allegedly entangled in a gold jewelry theft saga in Lagos Island.

Videos circulating online depict the Yoruba movie star being implicated in a gold jewelry purchase gone awry on Lagos Island. According to online reports, Lizzy visited a renowned market in Lagos on November 17, 2023, and engaged a vendor selling stones for tailoring materials, accumulating a bill of N91,000.

Due to a mix-up between the POS merchant and Lizzy Anjorin, Lizzy mistakenly sent the payment to the wrong account number, resulting in an unsuccessful transaction. Leveraging her celebrity status, the vendor allowed Anjorin to leave without confirming payment, only to realize later that the transaction hadn’t gone through.

Recently, Lizzy revisited the same market and encountered the same vendor, who recognized her despite her attempt to conceal her identity with a nose mask. Chaos ensued when the vendor identified her as the individual responsible for the outstanding payment. Fortunately, Lizzy’s husband was present to resolve the situation.

The news has ignited a social media frenzy, with some believing the allegations while others express skepticism. For Iyabo Ojo, this presents an opportunity to revel in Lizzy Anjorin’s apparent embarrassment.

Taking to her Instagram page, Ojo shared a video of herself enjoying life to the fullest. In another post, she uploaded a clip of an animated figure dancing, accompanied by several laughing emojis. The timing of these posts coinciding with the news of Lizzy’s alleged theft isn’t lost on observers.

The longstanding feud between Iyabo and Lizzy is no secret, with both actresses engaging in public spats on numerous occasions.

Recall that several months ago, Ojo and Anjorin resorted to social media to trade barbs.

In response to a video where Ojo humorously mimicked Anjorin, Lizzy retaliated by revealing purported intimate details about Ojo’s personal life, accusing her of promiscuity and involvement in scandalous activities.

Iyabo Ojo threatened legal action against Lizzy for defamation, demanding a public apology or a payment of N500 million in damages.

In a recent development, Iyabo shaded Lizzy after an encounter on a flight where Lizzy was reportedly left embarrassed. Iyabo shared on Instagram that she was surprised to find Lizzy in economy class despite her previous boasts, while she herself traveled business class. This incident led to further mockery from Iyabo’s friends and colleagues, including Nkechi Blessing and Tonto Dikeh.

To resolve their ongoing feud, Iyabo’s partner, Paulo Okoye, proposed a boxing match between the two adversaries, offering a prize of N10 million to the victor.
