The Imo State Government has refuted claims suggesting that Governor Hope Uzodimma is pursuing a vice presidential bid in the 2027 elections. A viral poster featuring Uzodimma as the vice-presidential candidate alongside APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje as the presidential candidate was labeled “The Winning Team 2027.”
However, the Imo State Commissioner for Information, Declan Emelumba, dismissed the poster as fake and an attempt to create friction between Uzodimma and President Bola Tinubu. He emphasized that Governor Uzodimma is focused on his current mandate and has no interest in the vice-presidential position, urging the public to disregard the misinformation.
