First Lady Remi Tinubu Encourages Nigerian Youth to Work Hard, Citing “No Food for Lazy Man”

-

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has urged Nigerian youths to embrace hard work, stating that “there is no food for lazy man.” She made this remark during a courtesy visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

Mrs. Tinubu emphasized that while the current administration is making efforts to address the nation’s challenges, citizens must also take responsibility for their livelihoods. She highlighted that even God worked for six days before resting, underscoring the importance of diligence.

The First Lady reassured Nigerians that the government is committed to improving the country’s economy and asked for patience as the administration continues its efforts. She noted, “We are two years into our administration… We are trying to fix and secure the future.”

Her visit also included the commissioning of the 2.7-kilometre Oluremi Tinubu Way and Pavilion at Obafemi Awolowo University, a project built in her honor by the Ooni of Ife.

In response, the Ooni of Ife praised the administration’s dedication to securing Nigeria’s future and ensuring that the nation thrives economically.
