-

The Minister of State for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, announced that the Federal Government is considering including Nigerian youths living abroad in the upcoming 30-day Youth Confab. This event, expected to take place before the end of the year, was announced by President Bola Tinubu during his Independence Day speech.

The confab aims to address key challenges faced by Nigerian youths, such as education, employment, innovation, security, and social justice. According to Olawande, discussions are ongoing regarding the selection of participants, which will involve youths from various regions of Nigeria, as well as a limited number from the diaspora. He emphasized the importance of including voices from across the country, from rural villages to urban centers, and leveraging innovative strategies from abroad.

The guidelines for the event are expected to be released in the coming weeks, and the confab is set to take place quickly to ensure timely implementation of solutions.
