Yoruba Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, has issued a heartfelt apology to Yul Edochie regarding his recent outburst on celebrities and Nigerians.
Yul Edochie had expressed his frustration towards Nollywood celebrities and Nigerians for their perceived hypocrisy. He specifically pointed out that while many were clout-chasing using the late Mohbad’s name, they had similarly mistreated him without hearing his side of the story.
In response to Yul Edochie’s statements, Yomi Fabiyi took to his Instagram page and penned a lengthy apology. He acknowledged that his conscience had been bothering him and that he felt the pain in Yul’s words. Yomi commended Yul for his courage and advised him to seek wisdom from God in dealing with his fans, family members, and the media.
Yomi Fabiyi expressed remorse for not taking more significant action previously and stressed the importance of addressing bullying both online and offline. He explained that some artists might react positively to corrections at times but then revert to their previous behavior, even going as far as targeting the person offering correction.
Yomi Fabiyi concluded by emphasizing the need for humility and understanding towards fans, family, and the media, while acknowledging that fans are humane and forgiving. He urged Yul to hang in there and not let the situation drag him into depression, reminding him that even when someone commits a crime, the goal is punishment and correction for their betterment.
