Jonathan Hill, the former youth coach of Manchester United, has expressed interest in becoming the next head coach of Nigeria’s national football team, the Super Eagles. Hill, who recently left his role as assistant coach at Rotherham United, has already submitted his application to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for consideration.
Hill, who has vast experience in youth development, believes the Super Eagles’ athleticism, technical skills, and energy align with his coaching philosophy. He emphasized his commitment to nurturing young talent to elevate the team’s performance.
This comes as the Nigeria Football Federation continues its search for a new head coach, despite recent success under Augustine Eguavoen, who led the team to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The NFF, however, is reportedly still inclined toward hiring an expatriate coach to lead the Super Eagles.
