Manchester United legend Gary Neville has identified the key signing Chelsea need to contend for the Premier League title. After Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, Neville suggested that the Blues require a world-class striker to improve their chances of competing for the title in the coming seasons.
In the match, goals from Mohamed Salah and Curtis Jones secured victory for Liverpool, while Nicolas Jackson scored for Chelsea.
Speaking on his *Sky Sports* podcast, Neville commented on Chelsea’s current setup: “I think we know their deficiencies. I don’t want to call out Nicolas Jackson because I think he can be part of a very successful squad for Chelsea. But if they had a world-class striker, and Jackson was the second striker, that would align better with a team capable of winning the title and catching up to Liverpool in a few years.”
