EPL: Alan Shearer Predicts Aston Villa vs Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea Fixtures
Former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer has shared his predictions for several key English Premier League matches this weekend, with teams looking to secure vital points ahead of the October international break.
The highlight of the fixtures is Manchester United’s trip to Aston Villa, while Arsenal will host bottom-placed Southampton. Other notable matches include Manchester City facing Fulham and Liverpool visiting Crystal Palace.
In his predictions for BetFair, Shearer stated:
– Crystal Palace vs. Liverpool: “Selhurst Park is always a tough ground to go to, but with the squad they have, I think Liverpool will have enough to get the points.”
– Arsenal vs. Southampton: “I can’t see Southampton getting anything at the Emirates, where Arsenal taught PSG a lesson earlier in the week. Arsenal to win.”
– Manchester City vs. Fulham: “I’d never go against Man City at home. They looked flat against Newcastle with the loss of Rodri, and that game could’ve gone either way. The draw was a fair result. They still have a squad full of the best players, and I see Man City having too much for Fulham. Home win.”
– Aston Villa vs. Manchester United: “I think Ollie Watkins has his mojo back in terms of scoring goals. If he doesn’t perform here, then Duran will come on and score from the bench, just like he did in midweek. Those two will shine again in a home win.”
– Chelsea vs. Nottingham Forest: “Chelsea are flying, there’s no doubt about it. Forest had a poor result at home against Fulham and will be looking to bounce back, but with the form Chelsea are in, especially Cole Palmer, I’d have to say Chelsea will win once again.”

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially designated Morocco as the host for the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League finals. The tournament will take place from November 9 to November 23, as announced on CAF’s official website.
