Alula Okposo, the daughter of the late gospel singer Sammie Okposo, is preparing to tie the knot with her beloved partner.
The promoter and CEO shared the joyful news on her Instagram page, along with a photo of her wedding invitation. Alula and her partner are scheduled to exchange vows on November 25th, 2023.
Accompanying the invitation, Alula expressed her gratitude to the Lord for His faithfulness over the past year. She acknowledged that many may not understand what she has been through, but she emphasized that her God has been faithful to her.
“Good morning people, You come bearing great news. I am getting married. God has been so faithful this past year. You can’t even understand. Please save the date. God bless.”
In response to her announcement, several well-wishers and celebrities, including Stella Michaels, Comedian Chigurl, rapper Vector, and others, rejoiced with her in the comment section.
However, it is unfortunate that her father, the award-winning gospel singer Sammie Okposo, will not be alive to witness her joyful day. Sammie Okposo, aged 51, passed away in his sleep on Friday morning, November 25, 2022, and was laid to rest in December, surrounded by grief from his wife, family, loved ones, colleagues, and fans.
Alula Okposo had described her father’s death as shocking, and although she still feels the void, she believes he is now “jamming” with the angels in heaven.
His wife, Ozy Okposo, shared in February that she misses her husband terribly but finds comfort in the knowledge that he is with Christ and in God’s hands.
Before his passing, Sammie Okposo made headlines for publicly apologizing to his wife, Ozioma, for infidelity with another woman in the United States. He lamented the incident and stepped aside from ministerial work until “full restoration.”
