Pastor Paul Rika, the International Director of Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide (HOREMOW), has responded defiantly to a defamation threat from former Defence Minister Theophius Danjuma regarding Rika’s book, *God’s Message to Kuteb Tribe and Indigenes of Taraba State*. Danjuma had sent a letter demanding Rika withdraw statements from the book within seven days, alleging that they were defamatory and damaging to his reputation.
In his reply, Rika urged Danjuma to embrace the book’s message, asserting it was divinely inspired. He suggested that the former minister reflect on the content rather than focus on personal offense. Citing biblical teachings, Rika argued that God’s messages, even if harsh, serve a greater purpose for transformation and salvation.
Rika emphasized that God’s messages are not intended to flatter but to prompt self-reflection and repentance. He posed several rhetorical questions to Danjuma, asking him to consider his actions towards the Kuteb people and his political alliances in Taraba State.
The pastor likened his revelations to biblical messages given to leaders, stating that he believes his insights are rooted in truth and supported by community witnesses. He advised Danjuma to acknowledge his past misdeeds and seek genuine repentance, emphasizing that forgiveness is available through faith in Jesus Christ.
Rika concluded his letter by offering additional books for Danjuma’s spiritual growth, expressing hope that the former minister would find value in them as he contemplates his actions and relationship with the Kuteb people.
