Cameroon defender Flavien Enzo Boyomo has voiced his support for Ademola Lookman to clinch the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.
Lookman, a key figure in Nigeria’s Super Eagles squad, is among five finalists for the prestigious accolade. The shortlist also includes Simon Adingra, Serhou Guirassy, Achraf Hakimi, and Ronwen Williams.
Boyomo, who represents Spanish side Osasuna, believes Lookman’s remarkable achievements make him the strongest contender for the award.
“I believe Lookman will win the African Ballon d’Or,” Boyomo said, as quoted by *Actu Cameroon*.
“He won the Europa League, and he is the one who has the best chance of winning the trophy this year.”
Lookman’s performances on both club and international fronts have earned widespread recognition, and his Europa League triumph adds significant weight to his case for the award.
The CAF Men’s Player of the Year winner will be announced later this month, as fans across Africa eagerly anticipate the crowning of the continent’s best.
