Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta remained evasive when questioned about the futures of Eddie Nketiah and Aaron Ramsdale.
The Gunners secured a 4-1 victory over Bayer Leverkusen in a pre-season match on Wednesday night.
Nketiah, who has been linked with a move to French club Marseille, came off the bench at the Emirates Stadium, while Ramsdale remained an unused substitute.
“We can’t talk about things like that,” Arteta said regarding Nketiah. “He played some minutes today. He is a player who gives us so much that we like him a lot. And at this moment there is nothing to discuss.”
Commenting on Ramsdale, Arteta added: “It is the same situation as all the players. Everyone wants to play. There are opportunities and I have to give those opportunities, but they have to earn them. There’s no difference.”
