The African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE) has entered a strategic partnership with SAP and Converge Solutions to implement an advanced hospital information system aimed at transforming healthcare delivery in West Africa.
AMCE CEO, Brian Deaver, highlighted that the collaboration marks a significant step towards providing world-class healthcare services across Nigeria and the broader region. By integrating cutting-edge technology, the partnership aims to streamline patient care, improve decision-making, and create local employment opportunities.
The new system combines SAP’s S/4HANA platform with Converge’s ISH Plus suite, offering enhanced patient administration, improved care delivery, and more efficient workforce management. Converge Solutions CEO, Johann Joubert, emphasized that the initiative tackles challenges like skill shortages, improving both patient and practitioner experiences.
SAP’s Regional Sales Director, Titilayo Adewumi, underscored the role of innovation in healthcare, stating that the collaboration would have a lasting impact on communities. AMCE, established by the African Export-Import Bank, focuses on tackling non-communicable diseases like cancer and cardiovascular conditions while integrating research and education into its clinical practices.
