ActivEdge Technologies Appoints New Directors to Strengthen Corporate Governance

ActivEdge Technologies has announced the appointment of two new non-executive directors to its board, reinforcing its commitment to robust corporate governance.

Founder and Group President George Agu highlighted that these new additions will enhance the company’s governance and support its dedication to delivering excellent services across Africa. “We are proud to welcome George Njenga and Eneni Oduwole to our board. Their extensive experience and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to excel in service delivery and corporate excellence,” Agu stated.

George Njenga, a Kenyan, brings a wealth of experience in academia and corporate roles. He is the founding executive dean and senior lecturer at the Strathmore University Business School and serves as chairman of the Board of Golden Valley Livestock Cooperative. Njenga also holds significant roles as Chief of Party at Kenya Small Business Development Centres. His academic credentials include a master’s and doctorate in Governance from the University of Navarra, along with a BSc and MBA in Business Strategy from United States International University – Africa.

Eneni Oduwole, a Nigerian, is a seasoned risk and sustainability management expert with over 25 years in the field. Her career includes notable roles such as group head of Operational Risk Management at StanbicIBTC and Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, and deputy group chief risk officer at Dangote Industries Limited. Oduwole has also been a pioneer in various functions including Compliance, Environmental and Sustainability Management, and Transport and Logistics Management. She is the founder and CEO of Alter-Ed Limited, a consultancy specializing in risk, strategy, and sustainability management.

Oduwole is also a member of the governing councils of the Chartered Risk Management Institute of Nigeria and The DCRO Institute, USA. She holds several professional certifications, including Fellowships from the Sustainability Professionals Institute of Nigeria and the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability, UK. She has degrees from the University of Calabar, Pan-African University, and NYU Stern School of Business and is currently pursuing a doctorate from the University of Durham and Emlyon Business School. Oduwole was recognized as one of Nigeria’s 50 inspiring women in 2022 by Business Day Newspaper and is the first qualified risk director of The DCRO Institute in Nigeria and West Africa.
