Popular content creators, Happie Boys, who have been incarcerated in a Cyprus prison for the past weeks, are reportedly on the verge of being released and subsequently deported within the next 30 days.
It’s worth recalling that Kelechi and Johnson, the dynamic duo behind Happie Boys, were arrested due to allegations of involvement in fraudulent activities.
In a recent turn of events, a friend who had previously hosted the duo after their arrival in Cyprus has disclosed that their destiny in the country has been decided, and they are scheduled for deportation back to Nigeria.
In a leaked chat, this friend unveiled that Happie Boys’ detention is connected to their lack of student permits, primarily resulting from their failure to pay school fees. He went on to explain that their attempts to secure assistance for the Happie Boys had proved futile, possibly exacerbated by their history of publicly calling out individuals on social media.
The chat excerpt reveals, “Happie boys haven’t been released yet, my bro… Before they can be released, all the fees they owe must be paid so they can obtain their student permits and regain their freedom. Additionally, if they remain in prison for about 30 more days, they will be deported back to Nigeria. The main reason for their detention is the absence of student permits, a consequence of unpaid school fees.”
