Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has criticized former presidential media aide Reno Omokri and singer Naira Marley for their recent tell-all interview.
During the interview, Naira Marley shared a video of his last conversation with the late singer Mohbad, who had opened up about his struggles with suicidal thoughts. Naira Marley emphasized that he was out of the country when the tragic incident occurred and maintained a good relationship with Mohbad before his untimely death.
In response, Ruth Kadiri expressed her disapproval, suggesting that one can judge them by their actions, implying a similarity between the two. She also lamented the absence of effective laws in Nigeria, questioning the need for public discussions on right and wrong.
Kadiri paid tribute to Mohbad and prayed that others wouldn’t experience similar situations. She wrote, “By their fruits, you shall know them! If Nigeria had laws, would we even be on social media discussing who is right and who is wrong? Trying to get justice from the core of our existence??? Like I always say! May Nigeria not happen to you!”
Many commenters supported her stance, criticizing the former presidential media aide for conducting the interview.
Naira Marley had recently addressed allegations of assaulting Mohbad and refuted rumors about his label’s involvement in illegal activities, pledging to cooperate with authorities to clear his name.
Before his tragic death, Mohbad had accused Naira Marley and others in their group of threatening his life and expressed fears of harm. He had also posted videos alleging an assault by Naira Marley’s crew after requesting a change of manager, which Naira Marley denied.
