Shina Peters Reveals Why He Was Ordained Bishop in Cherubim and Seraphim Church

-

Nigerian juju musician, Shina Peters, has shared the story behind his ordination as a bishop in the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church. In a recent interview, the 66-year-old singer explained that the church’s leaders were instructed by God to ordain him as the first bishop of the church.

According to Peters, his ordination was a result of his unique contribution to the church through his music, which often incorporates hymns. He believes his music, which has helped spread the gospel, played a significant role in this divine decision. “The Almighty God told the leaders of the church that I should be made the first bishop in C&S because I’m the only musician who has been consistent in using hymns in my songs and performances, through which I have won many souls for Christ,” Peters said.

Despite his reluctance, Peters shared that he initially tried to avoid the ordination, but eventually, “God arrested” him, leading him to accept the role. His ordination marks a significant moment in his spiritual journey, reflecting his ongoing commitment to using his music to spread the Christian faith.
