Nigerian beauty influencer and entrepreneur Laura Ikeji sparked online discussions with her family’s festive photos shared on Instagram. Laura, the younger sister of media mogul Linda Ikeji, posted a heartfelt Christmas video featuring herself and her three children, wishing her followers a Merry Christmas. Noticeably absent from the family clip was her husband, Ogbonna Kanu.
In her caption, Laura expressed deep gratitude to God, highlighting the blessings of her children while describing herself as “a lucky woman.” However, she did not mention her husband in the post.
Laura wrote:
“I am a dang lucky woman.
Dear God,
Thank you for the life you have given me, though I do not deserve it.
I thank you for Ryan, my first fruit, the one who changed my life forever.
I thank you for Laurel, my fierce princess, brilliant and bold.

The omission did not go unnoticed, as a fan identified as Mayer Pee questioned why she didn’t thank God for her husband, writing, “Why you not thank God for your husband? Nowadays, it’s not easy finding a husband.”
While some fans queried the post, others showered praise on the adorable family video.
This isn’t the first time Laura has celebrated Christmas without her husband. In 2022, she revealed he was working overseas during the festive season. Despite this, she expressed hope for a complete family gathering the following year.
Laura and Ogbonna Kanu tied the knot in January 2017 in a traditional ceremony in her hometown, Nkwerre LGA, Imo State. The couple has had their share of ups and downs, including a revelation from Laura during The Real Housewives of Lagos about her husband’s infidelity while they were dating.
Despite challenges, Laura has often showcased her loyalty to her family. In a recent post, she emphasized her unwavering support for her loved ones, stating she remains loyal to her husband, siblings, children, and friends, regardless of the circumstances.
