The Adamawa State All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed its determination to reclaim the state from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2027 elections. This assurance came from the state’s APC Reconciliation Committee, chaired by Senator Muhammed Mana, following a meeting with the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, in Abuja.
Addressing journalists after the closed-door session, Mana explained that the committee’s mandate is to address internal disputes and unify members, particularly in light of recent factional crises within the state chapter.
The eight-member team includes Senators Bello Tukur, Abubakar Girei, and Binta Masi, as well as Yusuf Buba Yakubu, Dr. Bridget Zidon, and Isa Baba. The team plans to engage members at the unit, ward, and local government levels to rebuild grassroots connections and strengthen the party’s structure.
“Our crisis started from the primary election and extended through the general election. We aim to reconcile with those who felt sidelined or unrewarded for their contributions. Unity is key to reclaiming Adamawa as an APC stronghold,” Mana said.
The reconciliation effort underscores the APC’s strategy to realign its structure and create a unified platform to prepare for the 2027 polls.
