Hundreds of Islamic clerics, leaders, and thousands of sympathizers have converged on the Akobo residence of renowned Islamic scholar, Sheik Muydeen Ajani Bello, to pay their last respects ahead of his burial.
Sheik Bello, a revered figure in the Muslim community, passed away on Friday at the age of 84 in Ibadan, Oyo State. The late cleric was a native of Arolu Compound in Ibadan North East Local Government Area.
The burial proceedings have attracted notable figures, including Oyo State Deputy Governor, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, alongside several top government officials. Representatives from various Islamic organizations and groups are also present.
As preparations are underway for his burial, many have gathered to honor the impactful life of the late cleric, who was deeply respected for his contributions to Islam and the broader community.
