Nigerian singer Skales has expressed frustration over the persistent trolling by Wizkid’s fanbase, popularly known as “Wizkid FC.”
In a series of posts on a microblogging platform, Skales lamented how Wizkid’s fans constantly drag him online, leaving his timelines flooded with toxic comments. He criticized the singer for allegedly ignoring the behavior, suggesting that Wizkid not only tolerates but possibly supports his fans’ actions.
Skales wrote:
“Now if I vex and start ranting, they’ll say I’m looking for trouble. I’m human. How do you expect me to ignore this? I love my life and pace and want peace, but I can only stay cool for so long. To think that he’s seen this and enjoys it, maybe even bankrolls them. No wahala!”
He stressed that he wants no conflict with Wizkid and desires to focus on his career. However, he warned that continuous harassment could escalate into a public feud.
This isn’t the first time Skales has addressed issues related to Wizkid. In February, he revealed he had contributed to some of Wizkid’s hit songs, including WizParty. He also opened up about past comparisons with Wizkid, which affected his mental health and career trajectory.
Similarly, other artists, including Tiwa Savage, have called out Wizkid’s fans for trolling. Tiwa recently criticized them for attacking her after she released a song on the same day as Wizkid.
Despite the tensions, Skales maintains that he holds no animosity towards Wizkid, emphasizing his focus on personal growth and peace.
