Pastor Leke Adeboye, son of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A. Adeboye, has addressed women who actively participate in prayer programs but neglect their relationships with family and others.
In an Instagram post, Leke noted the irony of women who attend night and early morning prayer sessions led by Pastors Jerry Eze and Bolaji Idowu, yet refuse to communicate with their husbands, fathers, or sisters. He expressed hope that their acts of worship and prayer would not be in vain.
He wrote:
“Good morning to all the women who are doing night and early morning prayers with Pastors Jerry/Bolaji but not speaking with their husbands, fathers, and even their fellow sisters. Happy Congress, Happy Shiloh, and Happy Experience 2024 to you all in Jesus’ name. May we not all pray and worship in vain.”
Leke’s comments come amid ongoing discussions about balancing spiritual commitments and personal relationships.
In past messages, Leke warned against making superficial choices in relationships, emphasizing the importance of seeking God’s counsel. Similarly, his father, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, has addressed issues related to self-image and trust in God’s creation, cautioning against excessive reliance on make-up.
Meanwhile, another clergyman, Mike Bamiloye, has highlighted the strain in marriages of female ministers who prioritize their ministry over their husbands. He criticized this imbalance, urging women to consider their spouses’ well-being and avoid using ministry as leverage in relationships.
