Wema Bank has concluded its 5th Hackaholics initiative, granting N145 million to seven outstanding startups. The program, held in Lagos, highlighted groundbreaking solutions in various sectors, including agriculture, healthcare, and education.
From over 3,500 applications nationwide, 10 finalists showcased innovative projects at the event. Feegor, the overall winner, received N50 million for its B2B marketplace empowering SMEs with credit solutions through a Buy Now, Pay Later model.
Other winners included Empayment AI, awarded N35 million for its AI-powered invoice discounting platform, and Bloom Beauty, which earned N20 million for its AI-driven personalized beauty solutions.
Wema Bank CEO Moruf Oseni lauded the participants, stating, “We increased the prize pool from N75 million to N145 million to recognize the immense potential of these innovators.”
The initiative underscores Wema Bank’s commitment to fostering technological advancements and empowering Nigeria’s youth to drive economic transformation.
